Oakley Eye Pro

Left my oakley's on the dueling tree; rangemaster tested the durability of them. The glasses were not shot but this was the outcome of the lenses. These scratches are from the fragments of the round impacting steel at less than 6 inches away. Just thought you guys might want to see how well eye protection really does work. I'm not a doctor, but I can only imagine what those fragments would have done if they would have hit an eye. The eye pro tested here was oakley xlj from usstandardissue.com which supplies only military and law enforcement; these are rated for combat by the US DoD; I can't say the oakleys from a sun glasses store are combat rated, but I would imagine they are. The lenses depicted here are actually knock off brand lenses from amazon for $25:

I would say that is a pretty good test of what they will stand up to. Not scientific but true to the every day mishaps that can happen
